As criações de Fernando França chegaram ao Museu do Amanhã em diálogo com o encontro do G20, realizado no museu na primeira semana de outubro, integrando-se ao eixo temático “A vida é inteligente”. Em consonância com a proposta institucional que, em 2024 e 2025, celebra as inteligências humanas, não humanas e mais que humanas, a exposição foi estendida até 3 de novembro, abrindo-se ao público visitante. A mostra propõe reflexões sobre como a colaboração e a sinergia entre diferentes formas de vida podem conduzir o planeta a um estado coletivo de bem-estar.
Natural de Rio Branco, no Acre, Fernando França é desenhista, pintor e mestre em Literatura Brasileira pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), com participação em exposições e mostras coletivas no Brasil e no exterior, incluindo França e Portugal. Suas obras transitam entre o desenho e a pintura e dialogam com mitos, sonhos e narrativas da Amazônia, estabelecendo conexões entre cultura, meio ambiente e identidade. A partir de uma sensibilidade voltada tanto às histórias locais quanto às questões globais, o artista constrói um imaginário que articula o fantástico às discussões contemporâneas sobre sustentabilidade.
Poucos artistas conseguem dar forma aos encantados — seres que existem no limiar do visível — como Fernando França. Em suas obras, criaturas emergem de uma “terceira margem”, simbolizando a fluidez entre o humano e o místico, entre sonho e realidade. Inspirada por cosmovisões amazônicas e por saberes ancestrais, como os cantos de cura transmitidos pelos seres das águas, sua pintura desconstrói narrativas normativas e reafirma o direito ao sonho. Mais do que uma expressão estética, sua arte se apresenta como experiência sensorial e poética, oferecendo uma visão renovada do mundo e afirmando uma relação luminosa entre arte, natureza e espírito.
Fernando França's creations arrived at the Museum of Tomorrow in dialogue with the G20 meeting, held at the museum in the first week of October, integrating into the thematic axis "Life is Intelligent". In line with the institutional proposal that, in 2024 and 2025, celebrates human, non-human and more-than-human intelligences, the exhibition was extended until November 3rd, opening to the public. The exhibition proposes reflections on how collaboration and synergy between different forms of life can lead the planet to a collective state of well-being. A native of Rio Branco, Acre, Fernando França is a draftsman, painter and holds a master's degree in Brazilian Literature from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), with participation in exhibitions and group shows in Brazil and abroad, including France and Portugal. His works move between drawing and painting, engaging with myths, dreams, and narratives of the Amazon, establishing connections between culture, environment, and identity. With a sensitivity attuned to both local stories and global issues, the artist constructs an imaginary world that articulates the fantastic with contemporary discussions on sustainability. Few artists manage to give form to the enchanted beings—beings that exist on the threshold of the visible—as Fernando França does. In his works, creatures emerge from a “third shore,” symbolizing the fluidity between the human and the mystical, between dream and reality. Inspired by Amazonian worldviews and ancestral knowledge, such as the healing songs transmitted by the beings of the waters, his painting deconstructs normative narratives and reaffirms the right to dream. More than an aesthetic expression, his art presents itself as a sensory and poetic experience, offering a renewed vision of the world and affirming a luminous relationship between art, nature, and spirit.
