Cápsula confeccionada em aço corten, com design multifacetado e angular, de estilo minimalista e futurista. Na parte superior, há uma abertura onde se encaixa uma placa de aço inoxidável, em formato pentagonal irregular, introduzida verticalmente para selar o recipiente. Em uma das faces superior, o título "CÁPSULA DO AMANHÃ" em baixo relevo.
A placa contém inscrições em tinta preta com informações sobre o evento e os dados da empresa responsável pela salvaguarda digital do acervo. Nela também foi gravada uma chave de segurança, que permitirá, no futuro, acessar o conteúdo criptografado das redações, sob responsabilidade da empresa EMC Corporation.
O conteúdo criptografado abriga, em nuvem, um conjunto documental composto por 1.286 redações originais manuscritas, produzidas por alunos do 8º e 9º anos da rede municipal de ensino do Rio de Janeiro, selecionadas mediante concurso temático: "E daqui a 50 anos? Qual o Rio de Janeiro que você quer quando crescer?".

Capsule made of corten steel, with a multifaceted and angular design, in a minimalist and futuristic style. At the top, there is an opening where a stainless steel plate, in an irregular pentagonal shape, is inserted vertically to seal the container. On one of the upper faces, the title "CAPSULE OF TOMORROW" is embossed. The plate contains inscriptions in black ink with information about the event and the data of the company responsible for the digital safeguarding of the collection. A security key is also engraved on it, which will allow, in the future, access to the encrypted content of the essays, under the responsibility of the EMC Corporation. The encrypted content houses, in the cloud, a documentary set composed of 1,286 original handwritten essays, produced by 8th and 9th grade students from the municipal school system of Rio de Janeiro, selected through a thematic contest: "And in 50 years? - Texto da placa da cápsula: No segundo semestre do ano de 2015, alunos e alunas da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro, cursando o 8º e o 9º ano, foram convidados a pensar sobre uma questão: "E daqui a 50 anos?". As respostas foram dadas através de 1.286 redações, que representam o pensamento de uma geração de cariocas, que poderão confrontar suas ideias e seus sonhos com a realidade que viverão em 2065. Até lá, a íntegra deste conteúdo ficará criptografada e protegida pela chave de segurança que foi gravada nesta Cápsula do Amanhã. Text from the capsule plaque: In the second semester of 2015, students in the 8th and 9th grades of Rio de Janeiro were invited to reflect on the question: "What about 50 years from now?". The answers were given through 1,286 essays, representing the thoughts of a generation of Rio de Janeiro residents, who will be able to compare their ideas and dreams with the reality they will live in 2065. Until then, the entirety of this content will remain encrypted and protected by the security key engraved in this Capsule of Tomorrow.
