O artigo apresenta um relato de experiência do projeto “Museu em Libras”, desenvolvido pelo Programa de Educação do Museu do Amanhã (Rio de Janeiro), com o objetivo de promover acessibilidade linguística e comunicacional para a comunidade surda por meio de ações de Educação Museal Online. Fundamentado nos conceitos de mediação digital e cibercultura, o projeto realizou oito edições entre 2021 e 2022, utilizando plataformas de videoconferência e materiais visuais interativos para abordar temas como pandemia de Covid-19, Década dos Oceanos, emergências climáticas, Antropoceno, Amazônia, biodiversidade e representatividade surda. As atividades alcançaram mais de 150 participantes de diferentes regiões do Brasil, rompendo barreiras geográficas e comunicacionais. A presença de um educador surdo na concepção e execução das ações foi fundamental para garantir a adequação linguística e a construção de uma experiência verdadeiramente inclusiva. O projeto evidencia o papel dos museus como espaços de acolhimento, diversidade cultural e democratização do conhecimento científico, reafirmando a importância de políticas permanentes de acessibilidade nas práticas museais.
This article presents an experience report of the "Museum in Libras" project, developed by the Education Program of the Museum of Tomorrow (Rio de Janeiro), with the aim of promoting linguistic and communicational accessibility for the deaf community through online museum education activities. Based on the concepts of digital mediation and cyberculture, the project held eight editions between 2021 and 2022, using videoconferencing platforms and interactive visual materials to address topics such as the Covid-19 pandemic, the Decade of the Oceans, climate emergencies, the Anthropocene, the Amazon, biodiversity, and deaf representation. The activities reached more than 150 participants from different regions of Brazil, breaking down geographical and communicational barriers. The presence of a deaf educator in the conception and execution of the activities was fundamental to ensuring linguistic adequacy and the construction of a truly inclusive experience. The project highlights the role of museums as spaces of welcome, cultural diversity, and democratization of scientific knowledge, reaffirming the importance of permanent accessibility policies in museum practices.
