In the month of the closing of the exhibition "Threatened – Planet in Transformation," the Museum of Tomorrow opened its Observatory to the public on April 3rd at 4 PM for the seminar "What is Threatened?" – a discussion about how humanity has jeopardized the planet's ecosystems and cultures.

With the participation of Mário Mantovani, from the environmental organization SOS Mata Atlântica, and Érico Hiller, author of the photographs exhibited in the "Threatened" show, the event was an opportunity to discuss, primarily, the pressure on the Atlantic Forest, one of the world's richest ecosystems, which is threatened by disorganized urban growth. To give an idea, only 12.4% of its original vegetation cover remains, and deforestation rates continue to advance, even with current restrictions. The seminar was organized in partnership with the Living Museum, an initiative that integrates museums and sustainability through the mobilization of their audiences.

They also reflected together on the process of raising awareness and engaging people about threatened places and lives, and what possible paths exist for greater societal awareness and mobilization for the regeneration of the planet.
