The event corresponds to the 27th edition of the "Evidence of Black Cultures" program, entitled "Active Mobility," presented by Shell and held by the Museum of Tomorrow, with moderation by Kelly Vilela. The conversation brought together Gláucia Pereira, an expert in urban mobility and founder of Multiplicidade Mobilidade Urbana, and Rute Costa, a cyclist, administrative director of the Brazilian Cyclists Union, and creator of the Pedala Mana project in Belém. The debate addressed active mobility, focusing on pedestrians and cyclists, as a tool for access to the city, the right to territory, and sustainability, highlighting the intersections of race and gender. The guests discussed data on the exclusion of Black people in transportation policies, environmental racism, traffic violence, difficulties in accessing public transportation in the peripheries, and the need for evidence-based public policies. The program also celebrated the Day of the Afro-Latin American and Caribbean Woman (July 25) and honored Tereza de Benguela.
