The event corresponds to the 18th edition of the "Evidence of Black Cultures" program, entitled "Intersectionality - Methodology and Practice," presented by Shell and organized by the Museum of Tomorrow, with a debate led by Sônia Santos and Valdecir Nascimento. This edition questioned how women in the African Diaspora, especially in Afro-Latin America, have organized themselves to combat the multiple oppressions accumulated from the social position they occupy. The debate also addressed the emergence and organization of struggles for public policies that address the broad diversity of these groups. The program celebrated the International Day of Afro-Latin American and Caribbean Women (July 25th) and, in Brazil, the National Day of Tereza de Benguela (Law No. 12.987/2014), a symbol of resistance and representation of Black and Indigenous women. The activity was committed to the UN's 2030 Agenda, aligning with SDGs 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
