Online exhibition, entitled "Praça Mauá", containing 28 iconographic and textual records that document the urban, architectural and social evolution of Praça Mauá and its surroundings in the port region of Rio de Janeiro. The collection brings together historical photographs (period 1910-1970) from the National Archives and contemporary records (2013-2015) from the collection of the Museum of Tomorrow, covering the urban revitalization process known as Porto Maravilha.
Exposição online, intitulada "Praça Mauá", contendo 28 registros iconográficos e textuais que documentam a evolução urbanística, arquitetônica e social da Praça Mauá e seu entorno, na região portuária do Rio de Janeiro. O acervo reúne fotografias históricas (período 1910-1970) do Arquivo Nacional e registros contemporâneos (2013-2015) do acervo do Museu do Amanhã, abrangendo o processo de revitalização urbana conhecido como Porto Maravilha.

Starting from the statue of Baron Mauá, in the center of the square that bears his name, a 360º tour reveals the past, present, and future of the city of Rio de Janeiro through the lens of history, architecture, and the surrounding landscape. Located on the shores of Guanabara Bay and the epicenter of major urban transformation in the early 20th century, Praça Mauá has regained prominence in the city after years of neglect and decay. In 2015, it was renovated and reopened by the city government, becoming a space for gatherings, leisure, and cultural events.

A partir da estátua do Barão de Mauá, no centro da Praça que leva o seu nome, um giro em 360º revela passado, presente e futuro da cidade do Rio de Janeiro sob a ótica da história, da arquitetura e da paisagem de seus arredores. Localizada às margens da Baía de Guanabara e epicentro de grande transformação urbanística no início do século XX, a Praça Mauá volta a ter lugar de destaque na cidade, após anos relegada ao esquecimento e à degradação. Em 2015, foi entregue reformada pela prefeitura e tornou-se um espaço de encontros, lazer e manifestações culturais.
