Part 6 of the Cosmic Horizons exhibition installation, entitled "Speeds," features an interactive table in a semi-ovoid shape, containing an informative text on the topic and a touch screen. The interactive exhibit presents different speeds in the Universe, such as: wind speeds on Earth: tornadoes; the speed of thought: brain synapses; the speed of sound; the speed of the Moon; the speed of the Sun; the speed of Mars; the speed of an asteroid; the speed of Earth; the speed of the fastest space probe; the speed of a star's rotation; the speed of the Sun in the Milky Way; the speed of the Milky Way in the Universe; the speed of the solar wind; and the speed of light. The texts related to the content of the Interactive Speed Table can be found in the Additional Information > Text section.
Parte 6 da instalação expositiva Horizontes Cósmicos, intitulada "Velocidades", apresenta uma mesa interativa em formato de meio ovóide, contendo um texto informativo sobre o tema e uma tela touch. O interativo apresenta diferentes velocidades no Universo, como: dos ventos na Terra: tornados; do pensamento: sinapses do cérebro; do som; da Lua; do Sol; de Marte; de um asteroide; da Terra; da sonda espacial mais rápida; de rotação de uma estrela; do Sol na Via Láctea; da Via Láctea no Universo; do vento solar; e da luz. SPEED The Universe is full of rhythms. Natural bodies and artificial objects move through Earth and space at the most varied speeds. From the slowness of tectonic plates to the quickness of neural signals, including the swiftness of tornadoes and asteroids, the range of speeds in nature varies immensely, But there is a maximum limit: the speed of light.

VELOCIDADES O Universo é cheio de ritmos. Corpos naturais e objetos artificiais se deslocam na Terra e no espaço nas mais variadas velocidades. Da lentidão das placas tectônicas e dos sinais neuronais, passando pela rapidez dos tornados e dos asteroides, a gama de velocidades na natureza tem um limite máximo: a velocidade da luz.
