The FILE (International Electronic Language Festival) has been held annually in São Paulo since 2000 and in Rio de Janeiro since 2006. Other editions have also taken place in the cities of Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Vitória, São Luís do Maranhão, Petrópolis, and Brasília. In each of these cities, it has been hosted in venues such as the Museum of Image and Sound (São Paulo), SESC Vila Mariana (São Paulo), Paço das Artes (São Paulo), SESI (São Paulo), Oi Futuro (Rio de Janeiro), CCBBBH, CCBB Brasília, CCBB SP, and CCBB RJ.
FILE has held the following since 2000: 52 exhibitions, 40 bilingual publications, 29 websites, 4 databases, and 10 documentary DVDs.
