Located in the Recife neighborhood, the Paço do Frevo is a Reference Center for the Safeguarding of Frevo, dedicated to the dissemination, research, leisure, and training in the areas of dance and music of Frevo. Its objective is to protect, promote, and propagate the practice of Frevo for future generations and to be a space for the promotion and celebration of carnival culture and Frevo throughout the year.
Since 2014, the Paço has developed exhibitions, activities, research, and events for the dissemination and protection of this Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, which should be revered every day.
The Paço do Frevo is a cultural center of reference that develops actions, projects, and activities aimed at the appreciation, documentation, protection, transmission, and safeguarding of Frevo, the musical rhythm/dance that is one of the main icons of Pernambuco's identity, having been recognized by the National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN) as Brazilian cultural and intangible heritage in 2007 and by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2012.
Instalado no Bairro do Recife, o Paço do Frevo é um Centro de Referência em Salvaguarda do Frevo dedicado à difusão, pesquisa, lazer e formação nas áreas da dança e música do frevo. Seu objetivo é proteger, divulgar e propagar a prática do frevo para as futuras gerações e ser uma espaço de promoção e celebração da cultura carnavalesca e do frevo durante o ano todo.
Desde 2014, o Paço desenvolve exposições, atividades, pesquisas e eventos para a divulgação e proteção desse Patrimônio Imaterial da Humanidade, que deve ser reverenciado todos os dias.
O Paço do Frevo é um centro cultural de referência que desenvolve ações, projetos e atividades visando a valorização, documentação, proteção, transmissão e salvaguarda do Frevo, o ritmo / dança musical que é um dos principais ícones da identidade pernambucana, tendo sido reconhecido por o Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN) como patrimônio cultural e imaterial brasileiro em 2007 e pela UNESCO como Patrimônio Imaterial da Humanidade em 2012.
