Aline holds a degree in Biological Sciences (Biophysics) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Graduate Program in Biological Sciences (Physiology) at the Carlos Chagas Filho Institute of Biophysics (IBCCF/UFRJ).

Amanda Vale de Deus Pinna is a student and researcher at the Fernando Rodrigues da Silveira Application Institute (CAp-Uerj). She placed fourth in the undergraduate paper category of the Elisa Frota Pessoa Award.
