Um projeto de mobilização social e cultural, o Entre Museus se desdobra em uma série de ações desenhadas especialmente para alunos e professores de escolas e organizações sociais da região portuária do Rio, os Vizinhos do Amanhã.
Um dos desafios é oferecer um acesso mais democrático aos residentes da vizinhança, especialmente as crianças e os jovens da região portuária, contribuindo para a expansão de seus conhecimentos e potencialidades.
O principal objetivo é incentivar a entrada nos mundos da ciência, das artes e da cultura e, assim, construir e expandir caminhos para a cidadania plena. E também, acompanhar e participar do desenvolvimento social da região, convidando o morador a ser o protagonista dessas ações e a se reconhecer como agente transformador de sua comunidade.
O projeto contempla uma programação de visitas mediadas ao Museu do Amanhã, em conjunto com mais de 20 Museus da cidade e seu entorno. Além das visitações, o projeto realiza atividades complementares com o objetivo de fortalecer os laços entre as escolas, os Museus e os espaços de cultura locais, e mais do que tudo, apresenta a cidade e sua história a partir de cada trajeto.
Essas atividades se dão a partir da organização de encontros entre educadores de Museus, onde trocam ideias e constroem os conteúdos das visitações; a facilitação do acesso dos conteúdos dos Museus para as escolas, com visitas periódicas e trocas de informação; a construção coletiva de um grande seminário em parceria com a municipalidade, através da Secretaria Municipal de Educação, o Instituto Brasileiro de Museus – IBRAM e Museus parceiros, apresentando os Museus como potentes ferramentas de educação, voltado para professores e pessoas envolvidas com educação. E também, a realização de uma grande feira de Museus e escolas, apresentando ao grande público a troca de experiências ao longo de todo o processo.

A social and cultural mobilization project, Entre Museus unfolds in a series of actions designed especially for students and teachers from schools and social organizations in the port region of Rio, the "Neighbors of Tomorrow."
One of the challenges is to offer more democratic access to residents of the neighborhood, especially children and young people from the port region, contributing to the expansion of their knowledge and potential.
The main objective is to encourage entry into the worlds of science, arts, and culture, thus building and expanding pathways to full citizenship. It also aims to monitor and participate in the social development of the region, inviting residents to be the protagonists of these actions and to recognize themselves as agents of transformation in their community.
The project includes a program of guided visits to the Museum of Tomorrow, in conjunction with more than 20 museums in the city and its surroundings. In addition to the visits, the project carries out complementary activities with the aim of strengthening ties between schools, museums, and local cultural spaces, and above all, presenting the city and its history through each route.
These activities involve organizing meetings between museum educators, where they exchange ideas and develop the content for visits; facilitating access to museum content for schools through periodic visits and information exchange; the collective construction of a large seminar in partnership with the municipality, through the Municipal Department of Education, the Brazilian Institute of Museums – IBRAM, and partner museums, presenting museums as powerful educational tools, aimed at teachers and people involved in education; and also, the holding of a large museum and school fair, showcasing the exchange of experiences throughout the entire process to the general public.
