In the second episode of #EntreMuseusHoje, the audience learned about the Museu da Maré, which tells the story and memory of the favelas in this complex and the people who gave identity to the territory. Founded in 2006, it is the first favela museum created by its residents, an urgent need to tell their own stories and build another narrative about the right to memory. Located near the city's three major expressways – Avenida Brasil, Linha Vermelha, and Linha Amarela – the museum is a few kilometers from the Museum of Tomorrow. Its permanent exhibition features everything from a furnished stilt house, recreating the daily life of constructions over water, to objects such as the rola rola – a wooden and iron cylinder used to store and transport water before the arrival of plumbing, now considered a social technology. The episode also included the testimony of Matheus Frazão, an educator at the museum, who joined the institution in 2013 and highlighted the feeling of belonging to the territory, understanding the history of Maré as a history of resistance. The program invited the public to visit the museum in person after the period of social isolation.
No segundo episódio do #EntreMuseusHoje, o público conheceu o Museu da Maré, que conta a história e a memória das favelas desse complexo e das pessoas que deram identidade ao território. Fundado em 2006, é o primeiro museu de favela criado por seus moradores, uma urgência em contar suas próprias histórias e construir uma outra narrativa sobre o direito à memória. Localizado próximo às três grandes vias expressas da cidade – Avenida Brasil, Linha Vermelha e Linha Amarela –, o museu fica a poucos quilômetros do Museu do Amanhã. Sua exposição permanente apresenta desde uma palafita mobiliada, que recria o cotidiano das construções sobre a água, até objetos como o rola rola – um cilindro de madeira e ferro usado para armazenar e transportar água antes da chegada do encanamento, hoje considerado uma tecnologia social. O episódio também trouxe o depoimento de Matheus Frazão, educador do museu, que ingressou na instituição em 2013 e destacou o sentimento de pertencimento ao território, entendendo a história da Maré como uma história de resistência. O programa convidou o público a conhecer o museu presencialmente após o período de isolamento social.
