The Museum of Tomorrow, in partnership with the Municipal Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of Rio de Janeiro, is honored to announce the third edition of the Elisa Frota Pessoa Award.
The initiative aims to foster scientific and academic development in the municipality, valuing Higher Education Institutions, recognizing the scientific production carried out by women, and encouraging new generations of female researchers.
In this edition, the award will be granted through a competition that will select the best scientific articles prepared by undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students affiliated with higher education institutions located in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro.
The central theme of this edition is:
“Science, Technology and Innovation in the promotion of sustainability, social justice and solutions to contemporary urban challenges.”
Awards
The 24 best works will be awarded prizes ranging from R$ 2,500 to R$ 15,000, according to the final ranking and the authors' level of education.
Who can participate?
Women regularly enrolled in undergraduate, master's, or doctoral programs at higher education institutions located in the city of Rio de Janeiro are eligible to apply.
Applications
Articles must be submitted by August 31, 2025. Applicants must ensure that their work aligns with the proposed theme and complies with the guidelines outlined in the call for papers available on this website.
In addition to the financial prize, selected works will be included in a special publication dedicated to valuing women's scientific production in the areas of science, technology, and innovation.
