Awakening students' interest in science is one of the greatest rewards for primary and secondary school teachers. But this is not an easy task. How to transform a simple lesson into a vibrant educational experience? Inspira Ciência is the right training program for teachers seeking answers to this question.

Organized by the Museum of Tomorrow and the British Council, with sponsorship from IBM, applications for the second edition of the program are open to all primary and secondary school teachers. Selected participants will explore fundamental science topics alongside experts from various fields of knowledge, experiment with new educational approaches and technologies, and develop creative and innovative lesson plans.

Organized in a cycle of four meetings on May 11th, 25th, June 8th, and 29th, from 9 am to 5 pm, the second edition of Inspira Ciência combines theory and practice from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Experts will cover topics ranging from the origin of the Universe, the Solar System, and Earth, through the origin of life and evolution, to the expansion of the human species across the planet and the diversity of contemporary cultures. In addition, practical experiences to address these topics with students will also be the subject of workshops, including the construction of unconventional microscopes, boat exploration of Guanabara Bay, and more.

Participants will also develop lesson plans, visit the exhibitions at the Museum of Tomorrow, and explore strategies to stimulate skills with British Council professionals.
