In 2025, we will hold the 7th edition of Women in Science and Innovation, a free introductory program to innovation and entrepreneurship for female researchers in STEM fields at the undergraduate and graduate levels throughout Brazil.
Conceived by the British Council and the Museum of Tomorrow and running since 2019, more than 500 researchers from across the country have already participated in the program.
Its objective is to strengthen the capabilities of Brazilian female researchers at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, gender, and science, so that they increase opportunities in the development of their careers in academia and the job market. It also aims to stimulate the formation of a cooperative network among researchers, prioritizing collective growth.
To this end, the program offers lectures and workshops on topics related to entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, self-confidence, gender, science, fundraising, and issues present in the context of women in science. There will be 6 synchronous online meetings, taking place on a virtual platform, on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm, generating a workload of 24 hours, on October 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th, and November 1st and 15th, 2025.
In this edition, the program will open 50 places that will be distributed throughout Brazil. Registration can be done via a Google Forms form, filling in personal data and submitting a cover letter indicating the research or project of interest.
Participants with 75% attendance will receive a certificate of participation.
