On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 5 PM, the Museum of Tomorrow hosted the 3rd edition of the project “Sempre um Papo – Palavra Acesa” (Always a Chat – Word Ablaze). The meeting brought together writer, essayist, and musician José Miguel Wisnik and journalist and commentator Flávia Oliveira for a chat about the poem “No meio do Caminho” (In the Middle of the Road), by Carlos Drummond de Andrade, one of the most emblematic texts of Brazilian modernist poetry.
The discussion was moderated by writer Sérgio Abranches, and the opening featured a reading of the poem by Pedro Drummond, the poet's grandson. On this occasion, José Miguel Wisnik signed copies of his most recent book, “A Viagem do Recado – Música e Literatura” (The Journey of the Message – Music and Literature), published by Companhia das Letras.
The “Palavra Acesa” project aims to illuminate the meanings of poetry in the present, creating bridges between word, thought, and society. In this edition, Drummond's poem was revisited as a spark for collective reflection, exploring themes such as love, politics, memory, identity, and the future.
