The Museum in the Street project explores the city as a space of memory, expression, and resistance.

On March 22, 2025, Museum in the Street held its first edition of the year in celebration of the 460th anniversary of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The activity consisted of a walk through the territory of Little Africa, a port region of great historical and cultural relevance, which holds fundamental memories of the city's formation and the Carioca identity. The route invited participants to reflect on the process of constituting this place and, above all, on what is most characteristic of it: the Carioca himself.

Lasting two hours and open to all ages, the event offered an immersion in the urban space as an extension of the museum, promoting a learning experience and connection with the tangible and intangible heritage of Rio de Janeiro. The walk was part of the special program in honor of the city's anniversary, highlighting the layers of history, resistance, and experience that shaped the region and its inhabitants. Registration was free and done through a link provided on the event page.
