Description
The Cube of Matter is an exhibition installation in the shape of a cube (700 x 700 x 700 cm) covered with 188 images (summed up on its 4 external sides). Located between the totems of "Cosmic Horizons" and the "Cube of Life," it features the text "Matter" in front of its entrance, an audio recording, directed to the outside area, of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and astronomer Carl Sagan – entitled "The Earth is Blue" – and two interactive totems – one located at the entrance and the other at the exit of the installation.
Inside the Cube of Matter, there is a video installation entitled "4 Oceans," and the kinetic sculpture "4 Oceans Vortex Generator," by the artist Daniel Wurtzel.

O Cubo da Matéria é uma instalação expositiva em formato cúbico, (700 x 700 x 700 cm) revestido com 188 imagens (somados em suas 4 laterais externas). Localizado entre os totens do "Horizontes Cósmicos" e o "Cubo da Vida", apresenta em frente a sua entrada o texto "Matéria", um áudio, direcionado para a área externa, do cosmonauta Yuri Gagarin e do astrônomo Carl Sagan - intitulado "A Terra é Azul" - e dois totens interativos - localizados um, na entrada, e o outro, na saída da instalação. MATTER
"We are all stardust. The matter that constitutes us is the same matter that formed the Solar System and the Earth itself. Our bodies are made of elements abundant on the planet: we are 65% oxygen and 18% carbon. And the diverse terrestrial environments are the result of the multiple ways in which substances combine and are distributed across the globe."
